On the Principles of Word-order Change in Chinese-English Translation
Abstract
According to linguistic typology，Chinese is classified as an analytic language while English a synthetic-analytic language. In word order, both Chinese and English favor SVO order，but have differences, which mainly lie in the positions of some words. There are different word-orders to express the same objective facts in Chinese and English. The thesis analyzes the word-order changes of Chinese-English translation and introduces frequently-used three principles of the word-order change in Chinese-English translation, namely principle of time order, principle of logical order, and the principle of text meaning. Then, it proves these principles through a case study.

摘 要
根據語言類型學，漢語屬分析型語言，英語屬綜合－分析型語言。在語序上漢語和英語均屬“主謂賓”語言，但也存在殊異性。漢英語序的重大差異主要表現在1些詞語的位置上。中英文描述同1客觀事實有不同的語言表達順序。本文分析了漢英語序之間的差異，并總結出在漢英翻譯中常用的3個調整的原則，即時序原則、邏輯原則和語篇意義構建原則。通過開展個案研究，對3條原則進行論證。
