圣誕節(jié)的由來英文版：
The name Christmas is short for "Christ's Mass". A Mass is a kind of Church service. Christmas is a religious festival. It is the day we celebrate as the birthday of Jesus. And Mary will bring forth a Son, and he shall call his name, Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Before Jesus births, Joseph and Mary came to Quirnius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up out of Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and of the lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was that while they were there, the days were completed for her to bedelivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

1、圣誕卡
圣誕卡在美國和歐洲很流行，也是為維持遠方親朋好友關(guān)系的方式之一。許多家庭隨賀卡帶上年度家庭合照或家庭新聞，新聞一般包括家庭成員在過去一年的優(yōu)點特長等內(nèi)容。
2、圣誕帽
那是一頂紅色帽子，據(jù)說晚上戴上睡覺除了睡得安穩(wěn)和有點暖外，第二天你還會發(fā)現(xiàn)在帽子里多了點心愛的人送的禮物。在狂歡夜它更是全場的主角，無論你去到哪個角落，都會看到各式各樣的圣誕帽。
3、圣誕襪
最早以前是一對紅色的大襪子，大小不拘。因為圣誕襪是要用來裝禮物的，所以是小朋友最喜歡的東西，晚上他們會將自己的襪子掛在床邊，等待第二天早上收禮。
4、圣誕樹
近代圣誕樹起源于德國，后來逐步在世界范圍內(nèi)流行起來，成為圣誕節(jié)慶祝中最有名的傳統(tǒng)之一。通常人們在圣誕前后把一棵常綠植物如松樹弄進屋里或者在戶外，并用圣誕燈和彩色的裝飾物裝飾。并把一個天使或星星放在樹的頂上。
不過如今在我國，不少年輕人都把圣誕節(jié)視為情人節(jié)來過，往往會在圣誕節(jié)當(dāng)天互送鮮花、巧克力等禮物來慶祝。

圣誕老公公的由來
圣誕節(jié)是令人雀躍期待的日子，尤其是小孩子。相信大家對圣誕老公公的事都耳熟能詳吧?從前有一個老人，名叫尼古拉斯，他一生最愛幫助貧窮的人家。其中有一次他幫助三個貧窮的`少后送他們?nèi)鹱右蕴舆^被賣的不幸。當(dāng)尼古拉斯偷偷把其中一袋金子送給其中一名女子時，他把金子從其中一個窗戶扔進去，恰好掉進景在壁上的一長襪中。于是，將禮物放在圣誕襪子的送禮方法家挨戶地去要糖果喲!
據(jù)說平安夜的晚上，圣誕節(jié)老公公會駕著馴鹿雪橇滿載著禮物準備送點這一年來表現(xiàn)很好的小朋友，他會悄悄地從煙囪爬進屋內(nèi)，禮物塞在掛在床頭的襪子里。所以孩子總會把一條條色彩繽紛的襪子掛在床頭，并在襪子旁邊放杯熱牛奶給勞苦功高的圣誕老人解渴，并送份大禮給自己。隔天每一個小朋友都迫不及待地打開禮，想知道自己得到什么獎勵。
到了1822年，一位荷蘭傳教士把這位偉大慈善家的故事傳到美國之后，美國商人更以特殊的行銷手法，每年利用這個節(jié)日大張旗鼓地宣傳廣告，大賺一筆，在亞洲的日本及其它各國也群起效尤。因此裝扮圣誕老人來慶祝圣誕節(jié)的風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣也就漸漸地流行到世界各國了。
