　　Dialogue 1

　　Watt: Since there are other applicants on the line, we can't let you know our decision yet until all of them have had their chance to be interviewed.

　　因為還有其他應聘者,我們得到他們全部面試完畢后才能通知你是否被錄用了.

　　Ann: Fair enough, I am willing to wait until you have come to a decision.

　　行,我很樂意等待你們的決定.

　　Watt: We will let you know probably next Tuesday. I hope to give you a positive reply.

　　我們可能在下周二通知你.希望能給你滿意的回復.

　　Ann: Thank you, I will be glad to hear that.

　　謝謝.敬候佳音.

　　NOTES

　　面試要結束了,考官說在所有面試者都接受了面試之后才能給出答復,這是很自然的,是必經的程序,是為了公平起見,你要表示諒解.不過,一般考官都會告訴你面試答復的最后期限,這段時間里你就要耐心等待了.不要逼問考官面試的結果,這時只要做到自信、禮貌就很好了,說一聲:Thank you, I will be glad to hear that .

　　Dialogue 2

　　Watt: How long have you been this city?

　　你來這座城市多久了?

　　Jenny: About three months.

　　大約三個月了.

　　Watt: Have you worked as a receptionist?

　　你有沒有做前臺接待的工作經驗?

　　Jenny: No, but I think I am a fast learner.

　　沒有.不過我學得很快.

　　Watt: Well, your English is very good. I have noticed that. But the problem is my receptionist must have local knowledge as well. People call us up not just to order meals. They often ask questions about travel, entertainment, etc. so I have to say I can't offer you the job.

　　嗯,我也注意到了,你的英語很不錯.不過我公司的前臺接待同時也需要當地的一些有關知識.客戶打電話給我們并不知識啊點餐.他們有時也會問一些有關旅游,娛樂等的問題.所以,很抱歉,我們不能錄用你.

　　Jenny: That's all right. Thank you for your time. Good-bye.

　　沒關系.謝謝你抽出時間給我面試.再見.

　　Watt: Bye.

　　再見.

　　1. 這段對話中的面試結果是在結束面試的時候給出的.Jenny想去應聘接待員的職位,但是她的一些條件不符合工作的要求.有哪些條件呢?接待員必須對本地的餐飲,旅游,娛樂等等項目非常熟悉,但是Jenny才來了三個月,肯定是不行的,盡管Jenny表示自己是一個fast learner,也就是學東西很快,但是Watt先生還是沒有雇傭她.

　　2. I have to say I can't offer you the job. 也就是"我還是不能雇傭你".這時候要表現的很大度,富有職業素養,說一聲:That's all right. Thank you for your time,謝謝您花費時間來面試我.
