        Small Enterprise Development Volunteer, Consult with local microfinance bank to improve financial products.

        • Launched a savings product that currently serves over 2,000 clients previously without bank access.
          1. Designed and managed a market study integral to adapting a foreign savings product to meet regional needs.
          2. Secured funding for, and organized, an exploratory trip to Togo to observe a similar product and collaborate with Togolese counterparts on product design.
            • Collaborating with IT volunteer to design a central client database to more quickly aggregate information, reducing fraud and improving branch coordination at national level.

        Connecticut Judicial Intern. Observed a unique aspect of the court system by learning how the Connecticut Judicial Branch lobbies its interests in the legislative process (legislation on judge’s salary for example).

        Founder / President, Responsible for all aspects of founding and running the organization.

            • Organized Spring 2004 debut season: 2 day/wk practice schedule with 15 games in local rec-league and a roster of 30. Budget of $9,000. Secured Student Government funding for Spring 2004.
            • Played 2004-2005 season as an ACHA independent team. 30 hrs/week organizing season during Summer of 2004.
          • Prepared 30 game schedule by cold calling 43 club teams and cultivating contacts with league and team leaders.
          • Hired 2 coaches, one, Charlie Burns, is a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee after an illustrious NHL career.
          • Managed $32,000 budget. Secured $11,000 from student government and organized fundraiser, raising $6,500.
          • Captained team to record of 18-5-1, securing our membership in NECHA league. 3/8 bids accepted in 2005.
