Some people go through life standing at the excuse counter.

They say they’d like to do this or that, but then they offer all the excuses in the world for why they can’t do whatever it is. No matter what the excuses are, the only thing that is usually limiting them is their own self-perception.

If I’ve learned anything, I’ve learned that a person —any person —may do anything they set their mind on doing. The things you need are willingness to work for what you want, patience to learn what you need to know and, most important of all, belief in yourself. You only need a seed, and then your faith in yourself will grow with you as you move forward.

If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because you’re not smart enough, then take the time to learn what you need to know, and then your self-perception will change.

If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because you never finish anything you start, then go and finish something and change your self- perception.

If your self-perception is that you’re too lazy, too busy, too unworthy, too unfocused, too depressed, or too dependent on others to accomplish great things, then you’re right. You are that because you believe you are, but in fact, you can change that! Life is change, and the past doesn’t equal the future. Your reality today is the result of your past beliefs and actions. Change your beliefs and actions, and you will change your future. Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. You are what you think.

Think about that the next time you need an excuse.

Every day of your life, it is important to take the time to “smell the roses” ― to appreciate the experiences that lead to happiness。 This is part of being truly happy。

Happiness is a state of mind。 It starts with accepting where you are, knowing where you are going and planning to enjoy every moment along the way。 You know how to be happy, and feel that you have enough time or money or love or whatever you need to achieve your goals。 And just feeling that you have enough of everything means that you do indeed have enough。

You have to choose to be happy, and focus upon being happy, in order to be happy。 If you instead focus upon knowing that you will be happy if you achieve something, you will never be happy, as you have not learned to “smell the roses”。 The irony is that when you are happy, you are inevitably more productive, and far more likely to achieve what everything-seekers are seeking。

          Dear I, Where Are You?

Everything about my future was ambiguously assumed。 I would get into debt by going to college, then I would be forced to get a job to pay off that debt, while still getting into more and more debt by buying a house and a car。 It seemed like a never-ending cycle that had no place for the possibility of a dream。

I want more—but not necessarily in the material sense of personal wealth and success。 I want more out of life。 I want a passion, a conceptual dream that wouldn’t let me sleep out of pure excitement。 I want to spring out of bed in the morning, rain or shine, and have that zest for life that seemed so intrinsic in early childhood。

We all have a dream。 It might be explicitly defined or just a vague idea, but most of us are so stuck in the muck of insecurity and self-doubt that we just dismiss it as unrealistic or too difficult to pursue。

We bee so fortable with the life that has been planned out for us by our parents, teachers, traditions, and societal norms that we feel that it’s stupid and unsafe to risk losing it for the small hope of achieving something that is more fulfilling。

“The policy of being too cautious is the greatest risk of all! ~Jawaharlal Nehru

Taking a risk is still a risk。 We can, and will, fail。 Possibly many, many, many times。 But that is what makes it exciting for me。 That uncertainty can be viewed negatively, or it can empower us。

Failing is what makes us grow, it makes us stronger and more resilient to the aspects of life we have no control over。 The fear of failure, although, is what makes us stagnant and sad。 So even though I couldn’t see the future as clearly as before, I took the plunge in hopes that in the depths of fear and failure, I would e out feeling more alive than ever before。

If you feel lost, just take a deep breath and realize that being lost can be turning point of finding out who you truly are, and what you truly want to do。

They say that when you die your life flashes before your eyes。 Will you see any-thing other than a small black box in the corner of your room? What have you changed in th world? What will you leave behind?

Or maybe you are surrounded by people all the time。duanwenw。 You are the center of attention and everybody loves you。 You go out with your friends, partying and having fun, but what about in the morning? You wake up with a severe headache and an upset stomach。 What about your death? Do you think it was time to go?

You could be the exact opposite。 You may want pany, but for whatever reason not have it。 Maybe you’re scared or shy。 You go home, lock yourself in your room, and sink into anger。

Are you an adventurer? Will your love of adventure lead to your end? You can never be quite sure when your heart and spirit will be broken。 All your adventures will one day be forgotten and it will all have been for nothing。

Or maybe you played it safe your entire life。 You outlived all those others, but what for? You never did anything great; you never made anything of yourself。 You’re alone in all your security, but that worth it? You just took up space on th earth。

They say that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes。 What will you see?

To conquer our fears, we must go past them。

To fear is natural; to go past them is heroic。 Fear is a normal part of life, symbolizing that there are new, extraordinary things to e across and face。 To be able to see these things before they happen is a sign of wisdom。 Fear is nothing out of the ordinary。 To admit that we are fearing is to prove that we value our life。

And men should pay attention to the call of fears。 To truly be a leader or someone who is heroic and brave, we should focus on getting past these fears。 And it is frightful for people to go through life ignoring fears, because they may often forget their heart and step into life without responsibility。

To be born is to live。 To live is to fear。 To fear is to be challenged。 To accept our fears is to be mature。 It needs bravery, maturity and vitality to face our fears, accept the challenges and hope for the best。
