尊敬的各位家長：
大家好!
我是初二(3)班的英語老師，首先歡迎各位家長的到來。借此機會，我想應該給各位家長談一下孩子們在這一個學期的情況。
開學初，本班學生在中缺乏積極性，自覺性差，凡事都要不停地反復的督促。布置的任務不能及時的完成。而初二的英語教材相較三、四年級，又有所變化，起初孩子們沒有找好學習的切入點，所以我們在座有些家長就反映孩子的英語成績較之前有所下降。一學期下來了，在強化課堂教學，抓好課堂效益上，我結合教材和學生的多方面情況，做了以下一些工作：
1、初二英語在聽、說、讀、寫方面的要求更加重要，我們盡量在課堂上幫助學生掌握知識，開展活動，讓他們在不知不覺中張口說英語。比如我們班莊園，王輝，錢勇，曹旭成，王聲康，許雅文等同學，每節(jié)課的知識和作業(yè)都能當堂掌握和完成。
2、興趣是最好的老師。英語課中多是一些情景對話，我們常常設置一個情境，讓學生進入其中，以表演的形式學習新知，樂在其中。如李杰，葛宇，逗號，潘建如，李浪，張朋順，周揚名，吳家佩，花尉揩，沈培歡等同學，經(jīng)常表演和惟妙惟肖，讓人忍俊不禁的同時，其他同學也加深了對課文的理解。
3、孩子們都是要強的，我們舉行各式各樣的比賽，讓他們自發(fā)地要求進步。最近我們開展一對一的擂臺賽。孩子們學習的'積極性高漲。如張峰瑋與莊園同學之間，楊冬煦和潘康同學之間，你追我趕，共同進步。我們也進行了一些簡單的測試，有很多同學較開學初都有很大的進步。尤其是張影，張自豪，劉俊杰，李杰，鮑勝凡，潘國光，呂文豪等同學。我們班同學，優(yōu)秀的學生不僅成績好，在英語表達能力上也有提高，學習有困難的學生也不氣餒，一直在努力地向前沖。學習英語是為了以后能與人用英語交流，平時有積累，最后就能收獲成功。讓我們一起為孩子們營造一個開心快樂的學習氛圍，真正讓孩子們相對學的輕松，扎實，有效。

Today my topic is about choice and process。
A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one day。
With so many choices one day people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life。
In my opinion the following part is of much more importance than the choice。
There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life which the process makes the difference。
Life is a box of chocolateyou never know what you will get。
Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process。
The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings the caution courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles。
Take myself as an example I changed my major when I became a postgraduate。
After the choicedays have been harsh for me。
I cannot understand the new lessons at all。
For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before。
However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myselfI persisted。
I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life。
Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting。
Moreover I learned to act instead of complaining。
In retrospectthe choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life。
NO matter what the choice is enjoy the process。

初二是初中三年中最重要的一年，因為初二是學生成績兩極分化非常嚴重的一年，成績好的同學越好，而成績差的同學越差。有些同學想等到初三才認真學習，想提高成績，考入重點高中。但由于初二基礎較差而心想事不成。那么，如何使自己的成績一如既往并有所提高呢？這就需要我們同學養(yǎng)成良好的學習習慣。古今中外的大量事實證明：一個人成功與否，主要不是因為他的智力，而是取決于他是否具備良好的學習習慣，因此我們必須注重良好學習習慣的養(yǎng)成。渴望在學術上有所建樹，那么，就請你盡早養(yǎng)成良好的學習習慣。在學校的學習中，一個良好學習習慣主要包括：預習習慣、上課習慣、復習習慣、自我提問的習慣、“不恥下問”的習慣、利用工具書的習慣。
1、“凡事預則立，不預則廢”。預習是首要的環(huán)節(jié)。預習的目的在于對將要學習的知識有個總體的了解，以便上課時有目的的聽講，集中精力解決好新課的重點和難點。所以，學習新課前必須預習。預習時要逐詞逐句閱讀相關學習內容，聯(lián)系以前所學過的相關知識，深刻理解本節(jié)課知識的重點和難點，畫出哪些地方不會，并及時做好記錄，為下一節(jié)上課做好充分的思想基礎。良好的預習習慣的養(yǎng)成，并不是一朝一夕的努力就行了，需要每天堅持預習。同時，在預習的時候應做到看、做、思相結合，做到眼到、手到、心到，不能把預習當作任務來完成，而要將它看作是學習新知識的一個重要環(huán)節(jié)來看待。
2、上課是學生掌握知識的主戰(zhàn)場。上課的`時候，課前要準備好所需用的課本、筆記本、作業(yè)本、工具書等，課上要認真專注地聽老師的講解和同學們的發(fā)言，要積極和老師配合，隨時跟上老師的思路和節(jié)奏，積極回答老師提出的每一個問題，對分組討論的問題要積極踴妖，敢于發(fā)表自己的意見和見解。同時，要養(yǎng)成一個善于記錄課堂筆記的習慣，要記錄學習的要點、學習新得、以及老師對教材的補充和延伸，以便逐步加深和更正自己對新知識的理解，不斷提高自己的自學能力。
3、課后復習是對知識的鞏固和消化過程。課后一定要進行及時鞏固復習，對課上所學習的重點、難點知識進行反思、總結，哪個地方會了，哪個地方還不會。
4、善于自我提問的習慣。從某種意義上講，學習的過程就是一個不斷提出問題并不斷解決問題的過程。善于提出問題，是自學能力強的標志之一。5、“不恥下問”的習慣。有些同學有了問題，自己解決不了，又死要面子，不肯問人，這樣問題越積越多，學習就會陷入被動局面。
6、利用工具書的習慣。要解決那些自己不能解決的問題，除了向老師、家長和同學請教外，還可以利用工具書求得解答。學生都要備有必要的工具書，特別是《新華字典》《英語詞典》。
