選擇合適的英文簡歷形式
英文簡歷并無固定不變的形式,應聘者應該根據具體情況來確定采用何種形式,靈活設計。一般來說,可以分以下三種形式:
A:學歷為主的簡歷(Basic Resume)
這種形式適應于應屆畢業生,因為沒有工作經歷,所以應把重點放在學業上。它一般包括下列元素:
a: Personal Date(個人資料):Name(姓名)、Address(通訊地址)、Postal Code(郵政編碼)、Phone Number(電話號碼)、Birthday(出生日期)、Birthplace(出生地點)、Sex(性別)、Health(健康狀況)、Date of Availability(可到職日期)、Number of Identification Card(身份證號碼)。
b: Job/Career Objective(應聘職位)
c: Education(學歷):就讀學校及系科的名稱、學位、始止時間,應聘職位相關的課程與成績、社會實踐課外活動、獎勵等都應一一列出。
d: Special Skill(特別技能)
e: Hobbies/Interests(業余愛好)
B:經歷為主的簡歷(Chronological Resume)
這種簡歷側重于工作經歷,把同應聘職位有關的`經歷和業績放在學歷之前。這種形式的英語簡歷適合于有工作經驗的人員。
在Chronological Resume 中,通常包括以下元素:
a: Personal Date(個人資料)
b: Job/Career Objective(應聘職位)
c: Work Experience(工作經歷):寫明自己在每個工作單位的職位、職責、業績和工作起止時間。
d: Education(學歷):因為已經工作多年,雇主重點考慮的你是能否勝任所應聘的職位,所以學歷只是一個參考的因素,不必寫得太詳細,只需注明畢業校系名稱、始止時間和學位即可。
e: Technical Qualifications and Special Skills(技術資格和特別技能)
f: Scientific Research Achievements(科研成果)
C:以職能為主的簡歷(Functional Resume)
這種英文簡歷也是突出工作經歷,因而所含元素和以經歷為主的簡歷相同。
但它們的根本差別在于:Chronological Resume是按時間順序來排列工作經歷,而Functional Resume則按工作職能或性質來概括工作經歷,并無時間上的連貫性,旨在強調某些特定的工作能力和適應程度,比方說,你曾經在兩個不同的工作單位擔任相同的職務或負責相同的業務,便可歸納在一個項目之中。
