英語復(fù)試面試之自我介紹篇

第一部分是簡短的自我介紹，由于每個人的復(fù)試時間有限，說2到3分鐘，大概500字就可以。一般包括這樣的內(nèi)容：名字，原來畢業(yè)院校，你平時的愛好興趣等，現(xiàn)在所報考的專業(yè)，你為什么報考該專業(yè)，你對該專業(yè)怎樣的感興趣，對當(dāng)前該專業(yè)發(fā)展的簡短評價，以及你準(zhǔn)備以怎樣的態(tài)度去研究該專業(yè)等等。如果有條件可以找一個英語水平比較好的伙伴或朋友幫忙。準(zhǔn)備好的東西會說的很流利，這樣能給老師一個好的印象。
一. 了解報考院校專業(yè)往年的英語口試形式
各院校各專業(yè)的復(fù)試口試形式各不相同，一定要對癥下藥�？梢酝ㄟ^詢問以前考過的師兄、師姐們來了解復(fù)試口試的形式，可能的話，了解一下口試中常出現(xiàn)的問題。
總的來說，復(fù)試口試有這樣幾種類型：自我介紹;讀某篇英文文章，然后進(jìn)行翻譯或回答相關(guān)問題;抽到某個話題進(jìn)行演講、闡述;兩三人就同一個話題進(jìn)行討論、辯論(多人一起復(fù)試的情況);自由問答(可能是專業(yè)或與專業(yè)相關(guān)的時事熱點問題，也可能只是了解個人情況)。
二. 了解導(dǎo)師/考官
首先必須了解導(dǎo)師在該專業(yè)的研究方向，可能的話，看看他們寫的書，因為在專業(yè)問題上，導(dǎo)師一般都會往自己研究方向上靠攏;其次，了解導(dǎo)師在口試中常問的一些問題及習(xí)慣(這個又得求助于師兄師姐們了);最后，可以給導(dǎo)師打電話，讓他/她知道你是誰，有你這么一個考生參加復(fù)試。
三. 對以下幾個方面要多加注意，適當(dāng)練習(xí)幾遍
1、見面問候語：Good morning / afternoon, dear professors. I am XXX. (Nice to meetyou。)。告別用語：Thanks for your time. / Thank youfor giving such a chance. I hope to see you again and soon。
2、 自我介紹篇(重點)�；旧厦總�院校每個專業(yè)的口試中都會涉及這一方面�？脊倨鋵嵤且璐肆私饽愕目陬^表達(dá)能力以及你的報名表之外的一些信息。自我介紹時間以2-3分鐘為宜。思路要清楚，要突出重點，口語盡量流利(不要太流利了，有背誦之嫌)。
1) 考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用…let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introducemyself to you等句子，重復(fù)、啰嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here.然后就可以進(jìn)入主題，介紹姓名、年齡等等。
2) 自我介紹的主體內(nèi)容
�、� 姓名。介紹自己姓名時，發(fā)音一定要準(zhǔn)(南方考生要多加注意)。
�、� 年齡。年齡可以跟在姓名后帶過(I am XXX, 25 years old)。
�、� 原來的院校、專業(yè)。注意：一定要把原來學(xué)校的英文名稱、專業(yè)的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業(yè)的學(xué)生)。
所屬的公司、職位。注意：在職考生則應(yīng)將自己公司、自己職位/職稱的英文名稱弄明白。
�、� 性格、能力�？梢灾貜娬{(diào)你的個性對你報考的專業(yè)有何積極的作用。如果報考的是學(xué)術(shù)性的專業(yè)，可以說自己細(xì)心(carefully，detail-oriented)、條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)等;如果是研究性、應(yīng)用性更強一點的專業(yè)，可以說自己負(fù)責(zé)(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。
其他的一些表示性格、能力的形容詞有：active,aggressive(有進(jìn)取心的),adaptable, amicable(友好的), analytical(善于分析的), cooperative, creative, disciplined, dutiful, energetic, faithful,gentle, independent(有主見的), innovative, motivated, modest, objective, precise, punctual,precise(一絲不茍的),temperate等等。
在職考生或有過工作經(jīng)驗的考生還可以強調(diào)一下你的工作成績，如：Asthe assistant to the General Manger of XXX Company, I have helped to negotiatea $200,000 deal for the corporation.
�、� 愛好。All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. 除了強調(diào)你的學(xué)習(xí)的重視，同時也要避免給考官一種“書呆子”的感覺。一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時要簡單說明這些愛好對你的積極意義(build my body, relax myself, open my mind…);注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的愛好，如：playingcomputer games，watching TV等。
�、� 你對報考的專業(yè)有興趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with…)，可適當(dāng)舉出一些例子，如經(jīng)常看相關(guān)的書籍、論文、文章、新聞等。在職考生可以強調(diào)知識教育對工作的影響： In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons incommunication. That’s why I long for entering your prestigious university.
3) 結(jié)束時可以用說：That’s all about me. / Well, that’s who I am. Thanks for yourattention.
3、關(guān)于自己家庭、家鄉(xiāng)、原來的學(xué)校的一些情況，尤其要注意原來學(xué)校的英文名稱。
1) 家庭。需要注意的是，考官并不是為了做人口調(diào)查而提出這個問題的，所以應(yīng)該避免流水賬似地介紹家庭成員;要盡量說明家人(尤其是父母)對你造成哪些方面(性格、職業(yè)規(guī)劃、做事風(fēng)格等)良好的.影響。可以參考以下句式結(jié)構(gòu)：Just like myfather, I am especially interested in history. / Though my father is anordinary worker, his responsible attitude towards work has a great influence onme.
2) 家鄉(xiāng)。正所謂“一方水土養(yǎng)育一方人”，考官實際上是想從你對家鄉(xiāng)的介紹中找出有關(guān)你性格、志向的線索。可以從歷史、歷史人物、著名景點、獨特風(fēng)俗或特產(chǎn)等方面來簡單介紹，注意要表達(dá)熱愛家鄉(xiāng)的情感。
3) 學(xué)校。如果是本校考生的話，在自我介紹中就可以點到(拉近跟考官的關(guān)系)。如果是外校，考官通常會問：Why did you choose ouruniversity? 那么我們就可以說說它與報考院校之間的異同，然后說明為什么你選擇這個學(xué)校(I do love the atmosphere in your university. It is full of youthfulspirits.);要注意的是：一定要說明你對在原來的院校接受教育心存感激之情appreciation(從好的方面說一說)，著重強調(diào)希望能被錄取，表達(dá)自己堅定的決心、展望一下未來。
4、 未來規(guī)劃——學(xué)習(xí)規(guī)劃(研究生以后的方向)，人生規(guī)劃(短期、長期)
5、 意外情況——沒聽清，你應(yīng)該怎樣要求老師再說一遍(Pardon?/ Sorry, Ican’t follow you. / Sorry, I lost you. Can you repeat that question again?);需要時間思考、整理思路的時候，不要出現(xiàn)沉默，可以用一些hmm, err,well等語氣詞;不會回答某些問題時，千萬不要不懂裝懂，可以明確地告訴老師你不知道(Sorry,but I have no idea about it。)。
6、跨專業(yè)問題——老師通常會對跨專業(yè)的學(xué)生問這樣一個問題：為什么會選擇這個專業(yè)?不要前篇一律地回答只說“我對這個專業(yè)感興趣”，可以把每個人都會談到的原因簡要地羅列一下，對具有自己特色的原因則可大談特談，詳細(xì)地闡述自己的觀點，讓老師印象深刻。
7、專業(yè)知識——在英語口試中(非英語專業(yè))，如果老師提問專業(yè)問題，通常不會指望你能進(jìn)行流利的、專業(yè)性強的闡述;但是一些專業(yè)術(shù)語的英文說法還是有必要了解一下的。
8、提出問題——在面試快結(jié)束的時候，一般老師都會問，你有沒有什么要問的(Do youhave any questions to ask?)。一般不適合說“I don’t have any question。”可以問考官一兩個你關(guān)心的問題。
