第一篇：Clever Bobby聰明的博比
Brown was very proud of his young son. Once he was talking to a visitor, telling the man how clever his son was.
布朗非常欣賞他的小兒子。一次他和一位客人聊他的兒子有多聰明。
"The boy is only two years old," he said, "and knows all animals. He's going to be a great naturalist. Here, let me show you."
布朗說：“他只有兩歲，就認(rèn)識所有的動物了。他長大一定會是一個出色的自然學(xué)家。來，我讓你看看。”
He took a book of natural history from the bookshelf, placed Bobby on his knee, opened the book and showed him a picture of a giraffe.
他從書架上拿下一本自然書，把博比抱到膝上，打開書。指著一張長頸鹿的畫片。
"What's that, Bobby?"
“博比，這是什么?”
"Horsey, "said Bobby. Next of a tiger was shown, and Bobby said, "Pussy." Then Brown showed Bobby a picture of lion, and Bobby said, "Doggy." And when a picture of a chimpanzee was shown, Bobby said, "Daddy!"
“馬馬，”博比回答。 他又指了一張老虎的畫片，博比回答說：“貓咪。” 然后布朗又指了一張獅子的畫片，博比說：“狗狗。” 他又指了一張黑猩猩的畫片，博比說：“爸爸!”
第二篇：New Dad初為人父
One day, shortly after the birth of their new baby, the mother had to go out to do some errands, so the proud father stayed home to watch his wonderful new son.
孩子剛出生不久后的'一天，當(dāng)媽的要出去辦點事，所以把照看孩子的光榮任務(wù)交給了那位新爸爸。
Soon after the mother left, the baby started to cry. The father did everything he could think of, but the baby just wouldn't stop crying. Finally, the dad got so worried he decided to take the infant to the doctor.
可是，媽媽剛出去一會，孩子就開始哭了。那位新爸爸使盡了渾身解數(shù)，但就是沒法讓孩子不哭。最后，孩子爸爸有點擔(dān)心了，決定抱著孩子去找醫(yī)生看看。
After the doctor listened to all the father had done to get the baby to stop crying, the doctor began to examine the baby's ears, chest and then down to the diaper area. When he opened the diaper, he found was indeed full.
醫(yī)生聽新爸爸說完事情的經(jīng)過，開始給孩子作檢查，先是檢查孩子的耳朵，然后是胸部，最后檢查到系尿布的地方。當(dāng)醫(yī)生打開尿布時，他發(fā)現(xiàn)尿布里面已經(jīng)裝得滿滿當(dāng)當(dāng)?shù)摹?/p>
"Here's the problem," the doctor explained. "He just needs to be changed."
“問題就在這里了”，醫(yī)生解釋說。“你其實給孩子換個尿布他就不會哭了。”
The perplexed father remarked, "But the diaper package specifically says it's good for up to 10 pounds!"
新爸爸一臉困惑地說，“但是尿布上的包裝特別顯眼地寫著‘適用至10磅’啊!”
第三篇：狗狗Clifford之第一個情人節(jié)
1. Valentine's Day is coming. I am making valentine cards for Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa.
情人節(jié)馬上就要來了。我正在給爸爸、媽媽、爺爺、奶奶做情人節(jié)賀卡。
2. Clifford wants to help. I give him some paper. He has his own way of cutting out hearts.
Clifford也想來幫忙。我給了他一些卡紙。這小家伙有自己的方法來裁剪出愛心呢!
3. Clifford likes the smell of the paste. He thinks it would be good to eat. He is wrong. I have to wash out his mouth.
Clifford很喜歡漿糊的味道。他還以為這個東西很好吃呢。可惜他錯了。我不得不給這家伙漱口去。
4. After I clean up my sticky red puppy, we finish the valentines.
Clifford likes the special card I make for grandma.
我給這個黏糊糊的小家伙洗完后，我們的情人節(jié)禮物也大功告成啦。Clifford可喜歡我給奶奶做的特別的卡片了呢!
5. Mom and I go to the post office to mail the cards. Oh-oh. Clifford falls into the dark hole...
媽媽和我一起去郵局寄這些賀卡。噢，Clifford不小心掉進(jìn)了丟信的郵筒里。
6. The worker doesn't see Clifford. He takes the letter cart away.
可是工作人員沒有看到他在里面。他把送信的車給開走了。
7. Mom and I run into the room. We look everywhere, but we can't find him. Suddenly we hear a sound.
我和媽媽不知道出了什么事，還走進(jìn)房間四處張望，但就是找不到Clifford。突然我們聽到了什么聲音。
8. There he is! Clifford is glad to see us. And we are glad to have him back!
他在這呢!Clifford再次看到我們很高興�？吹剿貋砦覀円埠芨吲d呢!
