2 Newspapers and Websites
Newspapers and websites are two major new media in the world today, both of which can provide us with lots of news and information. But they’re different in some ways.
Newspapers enjoy a longer history and often come out daily with more reliable news and information. They can be carried and read almost anywhere you like. So many people like reading them. But they can only contain texts and photos.
On the other hand, websites are quite new and popular, especially among young people. Websites have not only texts with pictures but also audios and videos, which makes stories more interesting. What’s more, they are updated from time to time. So the latest news is always seen on websites instead of in newspapers. But it is not quite convenient for people without a computer connected with the Internet to get information from websites.

Should Internet Slang Be Prohibited?
At present, Internet Slang, such as “GG, MM, Xia Mi”， has become popular among the teenagers.
There are different opinions on Internet Slang. Some students think Internet Slang is vivid, fashionable and full of humor and intelligence. Besides, it makes chatting on the Internet quicker.
However, some other students think Internet Slang lacks depth of thought and is too simple. Also, it is hard to understand and not accepted by most people. The words sometimes might make people confused, even resulting in misunderstanding.
Every coin has two sides. In my opinion, living in the Information Age, if we don’t know the Internet Slang, we seem to fall behind the times. It will be OK as long as these terms are used correctly in proper situations.

4 Making friends online 網(wǎng)上交友
Should students make friends online? Some people say yes. Internet helps people make many friends. Chatting on line, students can express their feelings and opinions more freely, and even get help for their foreign language studies.
Others, however, think students should not. They say making friends online is a waste of time, which should be spent more meaningfully on study. Besides, some students get cheated online.
It is my opinion that students should place their study, health and safety before other things. As for friendship, we can readily find it in our classmates and other people around us.

With the development of the Internet and the popularization of computers, shopping on the Internet has become a commonplace in our life. Here consumers can buy almost everything they need.

Shopping on the Internet has a lot of advantages, of which the most important is perhaps its convenience. People don't have to waste a lot of their energy and precious time to go from one shop to another to choose the commodities they like. This is especially desirable to the old, the sick and the busy people who cannot go to the shops in person. The goods come in all shapes, sizes and colors on the Internet. All they need to do is to sit in front of their computers and click the mouses. The commodities they order will be delivered to them promptly.

They will never deliver anything to you after they get the money from you. Once cheated, you will find that you have nowhere to go to complain.

The telephone is one of the most welcome and useful inventions. No wonder more and more families have got to use their own telephones today.
The telephone makes things easy in many ways. Especially, after the mobile telephone appears, communication becomes easier and rapider. To students and people going out for business far away from their homes, the telephone can shorten the distance between them and their families. Thus they will get comfort whenever they are homesick or they run into trouble. With the help of the telephone, people can keep in touch with anyone at any time and in any place for urgent help.
All in all, the telephone is so helpful that we can say that nowadays we can not live without the telephone in our daily life. We will further improve the performance of the telephone so as to create better conditions for its development.

For that matter,probably what you like would be social connectivity and what you dislike might be personal anxiety. It is a positive development that people have found it so easy to relate to one another electronically and share instantly in the social context. As technology has advanced,so has the need to remain contact with friends,family and loved ones. Through digital networking,the cell phone and the Internet have opened doors to the current generation's lives,as previously unheard of. While it goes without saying the many benefits that the Internet has to offer,the latest hand phones are well-equipped with high-end features catering to a variety of communication needs from voice calls to text messaging. Apart from being able to help connect people anywhere and anytime,new handsets of innovative technology boast cutting-edge functions designed to upgrade work performance and provide fun factors,all at your fingertips. Besides,what do you have to say about Facebook,Twitter and Google+ that are out there on your computer screens or on your smartphones? Nevertheless,the heavy use in social networking of the mobile phone and the Internet causes anxiety,not to mention the negative effects produced by possible radiation. Chances are that these gadgets are getting you on nerves. It is not so much because of such networking devices keeping you on alert 24/7 as because of the thought of being without them sometimes. So,there are feelings of increased anxiety during the absence of social mobility,as if when you were psychologically alone in the middle of nowhere. And yet,once people being connected,it appears to be no end of interactive communication,particularly when driving,for instance. In this case,the epidemic of people using cell phones to talk and to send text messages via the Internet behind the wheel could give rise to more of a hazard than drunk driving. As long as social interaction is concerned,it may be said that the hi-tech mobility is like a useful gift from heaven rather than a psychological disease from hell. The benefits of social interaction through the cellular and the Wi-fi seem indeed too good to be blamed. Whatever,there is no turning back to the age of B.C. (Before Computer).
