1、文學專業介紹：
文學——以語言為手段塑造形象來反映社會生活、表達作者思想感情的一種藝術。起源于人類的生產勞動。最早出現的是口頭文學，一般是與音樂聯結為可以演唱的抒情詩歌。最早形成書面文學的有中國的《詩經》、印度的《羅摩衍那》和古希臘的《伊利昂紀》等。
歐洲傳統文學理論分類法將文學分為詩、散文、戲劇三大類。中國先秦時期將以文字寫成的作品都統稱為文學，魏晉以后才逐漸將文學作品單獨列出�，F代通常將文學分為詩歌、小說、散文、戲劇四大類別。
2、專業方向：
(1)literature 文學
文學, 是一種將語言文字用于表達社會生活和心理活動的學科。其屬于社會意識形態之藝術的范疇。文學是語言文字的藝術(文學是由語言文字組構而成的，開拓無言之境)，是社會文化的一種重要表現形式，以不同的形式(稱作體裁)表現和再現一定時期、一定地域的社會生活。
(2)cultural studies文化研究
文化研究是個跨學科的領域，可以選擇性地援用不同學科的視角，來檢視文化與權力的關系。關心的是人群據以接受特定價值、信念、能力、生活慣例與行為習慣的一切實踐、制度及分類系統。文化研究探討的權力形式非常多樣，包含了性別、種族、階級、殖民主義等。
文化研究試圖探討這些權力形式之間的連結，并且發展出思考文化和權力的方式，以便讓追求變革的能動者可以利用。
(3)film Studies影片研究
影片研究是集中于影片歷史、理論和批評的一個學科。
Film Studies is an interdisciplinary major that focuses on the history, theory, and criticism of film. Courses examine cinema's role as a unique modern art form and the contributions of moving image media as cultural practices of enduring social significance.
Film Studies offers students latitude in defining their course of study within the framework established by the Film Studies Committee.
With this freedom comes the responsibility of carefully planning a coherent and well-focused program. Because of the special demands of Film Studies and the diversity of its offerings, potential majors are encouraged to consult with the director of undergraduate studies early in their academic careers.
